A Word From Our Cubmaster
Pack 131 is run entirely by parent volunteers, and the success of our program is entirely dependent on the dedication and participation of our moms and dads. Not only is being a Den Leader, Committee Member or other parent volunteer a lot of fun, it’s an incredibly rewarding experience and a great way to spend some quality time with your child. We meet as a pack (all dens) once a month, and typically have one pack activity a month.
Pack meetings are usually held on the third Monday of the month from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Verdugo Woodlands Dads’ Club. Pack activities are usually on the weekends and might be a hike, bike ride, service project, campout or our annual Pinewood Derby. Den meetings are the core of Cub Scouting and where most of the fun happens. Each den makes their own schedule, but usually, have at least one den meeting and one “go-see-it” a month.
Den meetings consist of games, service projects and activities that help fulfill badge requirements. Dues for new and returning scouts are $95 for the program year (September -August). This includes a subscription to Boy’s Life Magazine, all rank and achievement awards, camp and activity fees and a pack t-shirt for new scouts. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, and we look forward to meeting you. Atul Saxena Cub Master (213) 309-1451 firstname.lastname@example.org
